Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of a team within your designated department or production line.
  • Motivate and guide team members to achieve assigned tasks and production targets efficiently.
  • Ensure adherence to established safety protocols, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Identify and address operational issues proactively, implementing solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production, quality control, and safety.
  • Schedule and manage team workload effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, superiors, and other departments regarding operational matters.
  • Resolve team conflicts and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and implement them within your team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of steel production processes and relevant safety protocols.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to safety and a focus on maintaining a safe working environment.

Experience

This role is ideal for candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment. Recent engineering graduates with a strong academic background, a willingness to learn, and a passion for the steel industry are also encouraged to apply.
