Summary

We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented Information Security professional to join our growing remote team. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust security controls, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, experience with security tools and technologies, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive information security programs and policies
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential threats
Analyze security incidents, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions
Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls
Manage user access privileges and ensure adherence to least privilege principles
Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends
Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees
Participate in security incident response (SIR) activities and ensure timely remediation
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security considerations into software development processes
Document security procedures and maintain accurate security records
Audit security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001)
Report security risks and incidents to management

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (preferred)
Minimum 2 years of experience in a related information security role
Strong understanding of information security principles, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework)
Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanners)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent time management skills
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing security landscapes

Experience

This role is open to information security professionals with a minimum of 2 years of experience. We are looking for individuals with a proven track record of implementing and managing security programs, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance.
